I Like One Piece. That's the Post.
I have a blog now, so obviously I had to use it to talk about One Piece, break weeks, Dragon looking east, and why I love this ridiculous pirate story.

I have a blog now, which unfortunately means I can write about whatever I want.
So obviously, One Piece.
I spend most of my time here writing about websites, SEO, random things I build, and whatever new idea has distracted me that week.
But there is only so much pretending to be productive a man can do before he needs to talk about a rubber pirate.
I fucking love One Piece.
There. Important contribution to the internet completed.
I don’t even remember the exact point where I became this invested in it. You start watching thinking, okay, funny stretchy guy wants to become Pirate King.
Then 500 episodes later you’re emotionally attached to a skeleton, arguing about fictional government conspiracies, and watching a 40-minute video titled something like:
“ODA ALREADY REVEALED THE TRUTH ABOUT THE MOON IN CHAPTER 113???”
And yes, I would click it.
Being a One Piece fan is extremely unserious
This fandom can spend 15 years wondering what the Will of D. means and then spend the next three days debating whether Sanji’s eyebrow moved two millimeters.
I love it.
Every new chapter creates reasonable theories, completely insane theories, one theory that sounds insane but somehow turns out to be true six years later, Zoro vs Sanji warfare, Shanks allegations and Mihawk allegations.
And Dragon looking east.
Especially Dragon.
My brother has been staring into the distance for so long that I have started respecting the commitment.
Oda could reveal the One Piece itself and somewhere Dragon would still be standing near a window going:
“…”
Absolute cinema.
I actually care about these idiots
The Straw Hats are idiots.
Extremely capable idiots, but idiots nonetheless.
Luffy can walk into a country, understand approximately 4% of the political situation, meet one hungry person and decide:
Yep.
Government has to go.
And somehow this strategy has an incredible success rate.
Zoro could get lost walking through a straight hallway.
Nami is trying to keep the collective IQ above sea level.
Usopp has died from fear approximately 700 times.
Sanji sees a woman.
Chopper receives one compliment and immediately loses control of his body.
Robin casually says something horrifying.
Franky is Franky.
Brook asks to see panties.
Jinbe joined this travelling circus and somehow became the responsible adult.
Perfect crew. No changes required.
The world is ridiculous
One week you’re on an island in the sky.
Then there’s a train on the ocean.
Then zombies.
Then fish people.
Then toys.
Then an elephant the size of a country.
At some point you stop asking questions.
“Oh, we’re inside a giant whale now?”
Sure.
“Oh, there’s a man living inside it?”
Of course there is.
This is simply how things work around here.
That’s what I love about One Piece.
It can have enormous wars, slavery, corrupt governments, death, inherited dreams and mysteries spanning hundreds of years.
And five minutes later Luffy is doing something unbelievably stupid.
Good.
More of that.
Break week is a human-rights violation
I understand Oda needs rest.
I support Oda resting.
Oda should sleep eight hours, eat properly, go outside and enjoy life.
But when I reach the bottom of a chapter and see:
BREAK NEXT WEEK
my beliefs temporarily change.
What do you mean next week?
There was a silhouette.
Someone said something suspicious.
A character looked slightly to the left.
I need answers.
Then the theories begin.
And by day five we’ve somehow concluded that Crocodile is Luffy’s mother again.
Anyway, One Piece is awesome
That’s really all I wanted to say.
No ranking every arc.
No 6,000-word explanation of why One Piece is secretly a philosophical masterpiece.
No “10 lessons entrepreneurs can learn from Monkey D. Luffy.”
Please shoot me if I ever write that.
I just love this stupid enormous pirate story.
I love opening a new chapter and having absolutely no idea whether I’m about to get major world lore or Luffy fighting someone because they gave his friend less food.
And somehow both are equally important.
So yeah.
I built a personal blog.
There was inevitably going to be One Piece.
Zehahahahahaha.
